Larder Cupboard

The client wanted a huge larder cupboard built that would be multi functional.

The main compartment is a store for food items, two drawers and two spice racks maximise storage.

When the clients host a party, the pull out shelf can be used to lay out dishes ready for serving.

The cupboard on the left tidies up practical cleaning products.

‘I wanted to have a larder cupboard built in our scullery and I knew that an ‘off-the-shelf’ version would not work. Luckily I came across Nuthatch Creations and booked an appointment. Design and build

  • The client had a clear idea about the look of the larder cupboard they wanted for their panty. They have a beautiful home and it was important that the piece worked harmoniously in its setting. The pale colour of the ash is a lovely contrast with the rich tones of the royal navy paint.

  • Everything about this larder cupboard was big, the doors are huge! There were many different elements that had to be bought together.

  • The extending shelf was tricky to install, but it looks stunning and really adds a unique element to the larder cupboard.

  • Matt designed the larder cupboard in a number of different sections, so that it could be transported and then assembled at the client's property.

  • There is pipework at the back of the unit, and an electrical socket which needed to be accessible. There is an access panel created if the plumbing needs to be reached, as well as cable tidies that run along the back to allow an extension lead to be used.

  • The end result is an impressive larder which sits harmoniously in the space.
